From Darkness to Light
A favorite past time of mine is to read poetry as well as write poetry. I have not written anything since high school, but I decided to take up the pen again. So, below is my first poem called “From Darkness to Light” and hopefully, there will be many to come.
My heart is evil, no man can see,
But its desires are not hidden from Thee.
The dark night of the soul that sin can bring,
Must surrender its power to the King of kings.
Let my joy break forth as the morning sun,
For the darkness dispels and the light has won.
Let me not return to that dreadful night,
But continue to keep me ’till the morning light.
