A New Year’s Resolution
Every year I try to make a plan to read more, whether it be the Bible or some light reading from other reformed writers. It always seems to fall through because of the massive amount of reading I have to do for school. One thing I remember a professor saying when I started seminary, “don’t allow your seminary reading to become your daily devotional”.
It was so much easier in college because life wasn’t so busy. But now that I am in the real world working full time and doing school part time, it is definitely taken its toll. Nevertheless, next year I am going to work harder to make things different. I have added a reading plan to my schedule, and I will add some small books on top of that, starting with the Westminster Confession of Faith. This should be some what of an easy task since I wake up at 6:00 and don’t have to be to work until 9:00. And if you didn’t know, I walk to work. So, hopefully my blog will be updated on my progress in the new year.
