Starting a Series on Paedobaptism
It has been on my heart for some time now to start a series on paedobaptism. The reasoning is that I need to write it down, so that I can fully articulate what I believe as well as to give my take on the practice. There are many other bloggers out there that have blogged on paedobaptism, but I don’t feel that one, long, blog post fully helps others to understand where we are coming from.
Hopefully, in this series, I will be able to set down why I believe what I believe by looking at the Scriptures with “good and necessary consequence” in order to deduce the reason for the practice. My understanding of the practice has its foundations in covenant theology, redemptive history, and the way in which God works through covenants. I hope that you, my readers will find the series informative and that we can have fruitful discussion on the subject. More in the weeks to come.
